In this dissertation, aiming at the wavelet analysis, the utmost international subject, combing seismic techniques, fulfill specific arithmetic of prediction in oil & gas of wavelet after researching general arithmetic of the wavelet transform.First, the thesis introduces the basic theory and arithmetic of wavelet transform. Secondly, based on the selection of diverse matrix function of wavelet, aiming at the given seismic data, we extract some character parameters of wavelet. Following that, we carry on the analysis and comparison of the wavelet parameters in order to select the useful parameters. And then we colligate these parameters. Finally, we can ascertain the threshold value by oil attributes of the wells we have known.The paper develop triumphantly the algorithm of compositive character of wavelet parameters and software of oil & gas detection by wavelet, in addition, the method of wavelet threshold value has been created without precedent. These achievements not only offer the task of oil & gas detection a new clue and method, but also get good comments some experts of the same trade have made on, because of predicting the advantaged oil area of upside layer of AoTaoXi in some oil field.At the same time, in order to directly express the result of practical oil & gas detection, the paper also affords the transverse prediction picture of typical section and the distributing map of oil & gas prospect of upside layer of AoTaoXi in that oil field.
