The action of the hemolysin of the Fenneropenaeus chinensis on human erythrocyte was scrutinized under SEM. The hemolysin caused hexagonholes about 1.5μm in diameter to be formed on the membrane of the human erythrocytes, the contents of human erythrocyte were seen in the act of leaking outwards, resulted in hemolysis ; the inhibitory effect of several carbohydrates was tested , include D-fucose, L-fucose , D-glucosamine, sucrose, cellobiose, D-mannose, ɑ-lactose, L-rhamnose , indicated that only D-fucose, L-fucose and D-glucosamine had part inhibitory effect on the hemolysin. The influnce of Ca2+,Mg2+,Ba2+ to hemolysin was tested, indicating that it could be accelerated on the low Ca2+ concentration and inhibited on the high concentration . And it could be inhibited by Mg2+,Ba2+. The influnce of alexin C3 which sheep against human, zymosan, lipopolysaccharide (LPS)and sphingomyelin to hemolysin was tested, indicating that alexin c3 which sheep against human, zymosan and lipopolysaccharide (LPS) have no influnce to lytic system of Fenneropenaeus chinensis, indiacting that the hemolysin of Fenneropenaeus chinensis was not a C3-like molecule. And the accelerating of sphingomyelin to lytic system was found. Gel filtration (G-200) and ion exchange chromatography (QAE A-50) were used to separate hemolysin, got the pure molecule which tested by SDS-PAGE, 80KD.
