At recent years, with the development of amplification technology, researches on ultra short pulse and laser-matter interaction are developing quickly. High power ultra short pulse have many special advantages and important applications in ICF researches, plasma physics, nonlinear optics and many other realms.KrF laser amplifier has many advantages for its short wavelength, less nonlinear effects and high efficiency in amplifying ultra short pulse. KrF excimer is the best medium in UV ultra short pulse amplification for its small saturation energy and high contrast ratio accessible. But the life time of KrF laser medium is only 2 ns while the pump time of e-beam pump KrF laser is over 100 ns. When a 1 ps ultrashort pulse amplified by KrF laser amplifier most pump energy is waste. Technology of multi pulse amplify can solve this problem.This work follows professor Wang Naiyan' s ider of laser energy storage ring. The new method of ultra-short laser pulse train combination is developed from multiangular optics system. This system uses a ring structure instead of complex multiangular optics structure. Stimulate Raman Scatter is used to combine laser beam and it also improve the quality of laser beam. Using this system will increase the efficiency when excimer laser amplifies ultra-short laser pulse without using any complex multiangular optics system. It is possibly to be a new way to gain high energy, high power, high quality, high efficiency ultra-short UV laser.In this paper, we have done many basic experiments and studies on the technology of laser energy storage ring including the producing seed laser pulse, producing laser pulse train, multi pulse laser amplify, laser transmission in air and technology of laser beam combine.
