This paper deployed stratigraphy, geology, petroleum geology, sedimentology as guidelines.logging geology, combined geology, drilling, logging, seismology and well testing data, using multi-discipline, multi-technology integrated research method, described Dujiatai oil formation of Huanxiling Oilfield XinQi 14 area of western depression of Liaohe. The structure, deposition, formation and reservoir characteristics were comprehensively studied as well as reinterpretation of logging data. Hydrocarbon reserve was also calculated, providing sounding basis of the progressive exploration and development of the oil fieldVia the study, following results was achieved:1. Oil formation of Huan Xi Ling XiQi 14 area was for the first time fully understood through comprehensive three dimensional interpretation method, showing that the structure dipping from north to south and west to east. Under the combined effect of northeast, near east-west, near south-north and northern northeast faults, Dujiatai formation of this area was severely fragmented, forming series of fault blocks and faulted noses.2. Using sedimentary facies analytical and formation inverse technique, the depositional characteristics and distribution of Dujiatai formation of this area were described, disclosing that delta front facies and prodelta facies were mainly developed in Dujiatai formation. Material source are mainly from southern and northeast of the working area. Sand types are mainly of delta front subwater distributaries channel sand body, river mouth bar and sheet sand body with large degree of planar variation.3. According to the core PVT analysis and mercury intrusive analysis, formationproperties of Dujiatai formation of this area is not good, belonging to low porosity, very low permeability formation. Porosity ranges from 9.2-16.5%, average porosity 12.8%, permeability generally ranged from 1 to 278md.4. The relationship of four properties: Lithology, electrical property, physicalproperty and oil bearing property was determined through the reinterpretation of logging data. Logging parameter interpretation model and judgment criteria of oil, water and gas layers were formed, thus improved the precision of logginginterpretation.5. Integrated description of the reservoir showed that the buried depth of the Dujiatai formation was deep, the distribution of the formation was stable with good contiguity. There was no united WOC, the distribution of the oil layer were mainly confined by structure, the types of the reservoirs were lithology-struture reservoirs, hydrocarbon mainly concentrated on structural highs.6. The reserve of the area was recalculated based on the description of the Huan Xi Ling lower fault-step structural zonearea of this study, the result was OOIP of 841×104t, solution gas reserve of 4.22×108m3, providing important basis for the progressive exploration and development of the area.
