The Design And Development Of Shanghai Bank-GIS And It's Application

With more and more foreign banks investing in ShangHai, the competition has become increasingly strong. Confronted with the competition and the changeful financial market, Shanghai banking industry faces the problem of how to make fully use of the existing data,the electronic information and the technology of computer to make accurate data analysis for the banks, to provide foundation for the decision-making and management, for the aim of improving the competitive power of banking industry. GIS technology provides the method of visualization, along with the data mining technology, can convert the available data into visual ones related with map objects through the special technology of GIS and present the data in the map in the form of thematic pictures. It also can visualize the market situation, determine where the potential resources are and predict the development of market, help to make plans and dispose routine transaction for banks.This paper discusses the details of the methods of the design and development of Shanghai Bank-GIS ,which provide the function of query,display,analyse trough our friendly operation interface and the technology of COM.By analyzing the deficiency of the application of GIS in the bank management and decision-making support,this paper pointed out the important significance of the integration of GIS and VDM(Visual Data Mining) in solving this problem. The technology of COM and ComGIS has been discussed as well.In order to find out the distribution rule of banks.we make a visual anlysis and get some reliable rules which make it convenient for us to do spatial analysis and knowledge discovery.We discussed the theories that often used in the analysis of the location for the banking industry and the data-mining arithmetics used to solve this problem, and choosed some of them that seems better.The detailed progress of the application of the arithmetics and the problems that we must slove have been illuminated,especially the theories and arithmetics of the model for location selection.
