This thesis deals with the fuzzy estimate and multicriteria optimization of construction project scheduling, and presents a fuzzy multicriteria computational optimal scheduling model, which integrates the time/cost trade-off model, resource-limited model, and resource leveling model. A searching technique using genetic algorithms(GAs)is adopted in this model. A case study is presented to demonstrate the feasibility and validity of the method. In this thesis, construction project scheduling is treated as a fuzzy number, with analyzing the influence of financing, resource and weather to construction project scheduling, the fuzzy model about time and cost is presented based on fuzzy set theory. The optimal or near-optimal value is obtained using genetic algorithms(GAs),then the minimum cost in the condition of the uncertain activity durations is gained. This thesis fills up the blank of the optimization of construction project scheduling in the condition of the uncertain activity durations, and realize the application of fuzzy set theory to time/cost trade-off, which is the pioneer in our country. The model can effectively provide the optimal fuzzy profiles of activity duration and resource amounts under the constraint of limited resources, which is propitious to control construction project time and cost and to get the maximum benefits.
