Ocean thermal energy is one of clean and renewable energy. The ocean thermalenergy conversion (OTEC) system can generate electricity and fresh water, and thecold sea water can be used as cold source in an air condition system. The exploitationof ocean thermal energy resources not only can alleviate the pressure of energysources in our country, but also can adjust the energy source structure withoutpollution. This paper studies the integrated OTEC cycle system. The principalcontents for research are summarized as follows. On the basis of comparison of open-cycle, closed-cycle and integrated cycle,this paper choose the integrated OTEC cycle as the object of research. The integratedOTEC system consists of generating power system and desalination system. Thispaper designs or select equipments, then builds the experiment platform. According to the experiment platform, this paper establishes mathematicalmodel. By calculating, this paper analyses the problems as follows: (1) The influenceof the worm water's temperature on the system. (2) The influence of the cold water'stemperature on the system. (3) The influence of the seawater's flow on the system. (4)The influence of the evaporation temperature and condensation temperature on thesystem and the influence of the ammonia flow on the system. (5) The syntheticalinfluence of several factors on the system. (6) The influence of worm sea watertemperature and flow on the desalination system. By studying, the corresponding relations of every parameter are obtained in thispaper. They are the changing trends of gross efficiency of system, the gross power ,the net power ,the total efficiency when the worm sea water temperature or the coldsea water temperature changes. The changing trends of gross efficiency of system andthe total efficiency are also obtained when the temperature of evaporation ortemperature of condensation changes. In the sea water desalination system therelations of the flash temperature and the flash ratio, the mass of fresh water and themass of worm sea water are also be educed. The research will guide the next stepexperiment and be technical preparation for the research of OTEC in our country.
