The main content of this thesis is to study on the speroidal fossils in weng'an biota and kuanchuanpu biota.Tlie main purpose of the study is to find out the difference and identity of speroidal fossils and to discover affinity between speroidal fossils with metazoan and plant fossils and characters of early evolusion of organism.Thus it can not only enrich the content of speroidal fossils and the feature of early organisms but also offer evidences for strengthening the study of Sinian-Cambrian boundary,dividing and contrasting stratigraphy,discussing the early evolution,embryo development and diversity of early organisms.So this study has important theorical significance.Disputes have been long existed about speroidal fossils phylogenetic affinity in palaeontology field.Under this background,we go to research area to measure section and gather 52 samples.During research work,we adhere to the technical route of "feature observe - classify research - define affinity ".Methods of chemical decompose and SEM are used to study on speroidal fossils and company fossils.I Method of study areas follows:1 About 12000 speroidal fossils arc acquired during the study work and speroidal fossils are take for key rcseach aim. On the basis of abovementioned work.we make further classify rcsearch.The speroidal fossils arc divided into Unicellular speroidal group and Multiccllar group and further division are made.2 We established The Table of Form Classification for Speroidal Fossils ,according to the characters of form, size, surface ornament, exterior-wall thickenss and structure, interior-fill and cell division cell arrange of speroidal fossils .3 speroidal fossils is a informal collection from variety source.The affinity of speroidal fossils is a focus that much attention has been paid to it.So the speroidal fossils shoudn't be treated as the same.To deny their animal-attribute or plant-attribute completely is not appropriate.On the basis of the formal two procedures,the animal or plant attribute are discussed separately according to the formal classify.4 In addition,the other fossils that company with speroidal fossils are described and discussed including galandlike metazoan , five-radial-conelike metazoan and protoconulariids.5 Fossil obtained from many location in research areas are systematically described and discussed.The picture of these fossils are attached too.II Through systematically study,the main achievement and conclusion obtained from this research work are as follows:1 classification study for speroidal fossils:(l)There are 4 new types (equal to the form genus )and 8 new kinds (equal toform species)obtained from rcseach work.(2)The distinguishing feature of the speroidal fossils of Weng'an biota are division speroids and contacting speroids.The main content of the speroidal fossils of Kuanchuanpu biota are smooth speroid type.Divjsion speroid and contacting speroid are not be included.(3)The research work discover that speroidal fossils is an informal collection from variety source.It includes animal and plant speroidal fossils.Animal attribute speroidal fossils include animal embryos and other kinds of fossils;Plant attribute speroidal fossils include different kinds of algae.(4)The character in different speroidal fossils exist difference that include form, size, surface ornament, exterior-wall thickenss and structure, interior-fill and cell division, cell arrange.These character are relation with animal or plant attribute.When we discuss their attribute we should regard them separately according to their different feature and shouldn't consider all speroidal fossils as same category according to part of their feature.(5)The author put forward to a table of form classification for speroidal fossils for everybody easy to communicate and discuss.Classification unit of the table are "Group", "Subgroup", "Type" and "Kind" .
