Calculations of wave load acted on offshore platforms and the corresponding dynamic response analysis have been stressed in the research field of marine engineering. They are significant for the check of the platform strength, the assessment of the fatigue life of the structures and structural design of the platforms. For the existing calculations of the wave load are most based on the linear wave theory, a more accurate STOKES wave is used to calculate the wave load in this paper.First, with the common used computer language FORTRAN, a program is developed to calculate the wave force and the corresponding moment acted on the leg of the platform by using 3-order and 5-order STOKES wave respectively. The variety of the wave force with the depth of water and phase, as well as the maximum wave force of the leg can be obtained. At the same time, the influences of the current and the free surface are taken into account respectively and the relevant result of the influence is compared. Further, the different force of every leg of the platform at the same time and certain period of wave is achieved based on the calculation of the wave force of a single leg. Then, jack-up platform "ShengLi V" is used for the calculation example. The stress and deformation response of the structure can be obtained with the dynamic analysis in the structure FEA software. A more reasonable result can be achieved after the nonlinear free surface influence of the wave is considered and can be referenced by the party concerned.
