The Design And Implementation Of The Multimedia Electric Map Of Tourism

The electric map is a new type of map came into being with using the technology of Computer Assisted drafting (CAD) in 1980s, which is very popular for its advantage, such as flexibility, shareability, plenty content and easy computation ect. The multimedia electric map is a new type of the electric map. Compared with the common map made of paper, the way of the multimedia electric map to show itself is more flexible and vivid and its content is more abundant and comprehensive, so it is more suitable to the demand of the development of the society and the technology and becomes an important tool used by other field to develop. With the appearance of the virtual tourism and the digital tourism building a multimedia electric map of tourism is necessary, which can helps the tourism administrative department make decision and makes the tourists learn a lot of the scenic spot before they arrive it. But the process of making the multimedia electric map is more complex than the common map and there are many problems needed arguing and researching. In this article, by making a multimedia electric map of the tourism of Xianyang city, the author tries to argue and research the theory, technology and method of making a multimedia electric map and the implementation of program of this system. The article consists of five parts:Part I : The research background of the article and the motive and meaning of the workThe development of the electric map companies with the development of CAD and the multimedia electric map is not only the result of continual development and betterment of CAD but also the response of the electric map to the human's demand increasing with the development of societal economic. Now many countries make the multimedia electric map as one of the future trends of the electric map and pay attention to it, but the method of making the multimedia electric map still is not perfect. There are main three methods to make the multimedia electric map and each other has its advantage and disadvantage. In the article the author use the development method of theobject-oriented component.Part II: The theory and technology of making the multimedia electric map To make the multimedia electric map need a series of work, including the whole design, the function design, building database, designing map symbol and color and the design of the mutual interface ECT.This part firstly centres on the base of making the electric map, such as collecting, dealing with and storing the data. Because the multimedia electric map includes many types of data, which have different way to collect, deal with and store, the author describes them one by one. Secondly the article describes in detail how to building the model of the three-dimensional spatial data and the common method .The model of the three-dimensional spatial data is a problem needed to be resolved at once and currently GIS only provides some simple showing and operating function, which is not real three-dimensional model.Part HI: The process of making the multimedia electric map of tourism of XianYangTourism is a field the multimedia electric map usually is applied to and the last two part mainly argue the practice than apply the so the article makes the theory and method of building the multimedia electric map into the tourism .The introduces in detail the process of making the multimedia electric map of tourism of XianYang, including using MAPX software making thematic map by using VB as the development flat, using VRMAP software to make the three-dimensional map and designing the interface of the system.
