With describing the historical background around Shapere's ideas and approsching the critical views and analyses put forward by Shapere to the ideas o-f Logical Empiricism and Historicism which is represented by T.Kuhn and P.Feyerabend, the author considers that the process of devoloping of Shap(?)e's the ought is made of three stages. On exam(?)ning the internal relation between ths notion " reason "and Shapere's main viewpoints, including the domain's theory, the theory of rationality of science, ths theory of truth, the theory of meaning and scientific realism etc., the paper presents an important (?)iew to understand Shapers's thinking,that "reason" is the crucial notion in his viewpoints, Shapere's ideas on philosophy of science may be called " the theory of reason", The paper also gives a brief com-ment on Shapare's ideas, the author thinks that the theory of reason is a new development of rationalism.
