Author: Wang Zhao-huiMajor: Geoexploration and Information TechnologySupervisor: Wang Zhu-wen (Professor)Keywords: Cross-dipole acoustic logging Anisotropy Simulated annealing algorithmPole array acoustic logging can extract approving velocity of P-wave,not extract information of S-wave in "soft formation". With the developmentof modern well-logging techniques, direct shear wave logging fromextracting flexure waves has become an increasingly important tool inexploration and production geophysics. Shear wave logging tools use dipoleradiation in the borehole to generate flexural waves in formation. Just fewyears ago the theory of dipole source exciting full-wave or component-wavein borehole made great progress and now it is being perfected. The dipolesonic tool has also been manufactured and applied to practice. When processing data of cross-dipole acoustic logging, accuratelyextract the information of velocity is important. This thesis analyses twokinds of methods: Slowness Time Coherence and Spectrum Phase Analysis. This thesis extracts accurately the velocity information of P-wave, S-waveand Stoneley-wave.Using of cross-dipole acoustic logging tool made detection of velocityazimuthally character is becoming more and more popular and important.Anisotropy of formation is common phenomena that can not be ignored ininterpretation of data from seismic and logging. This thesis analyses two kinds of methods of extracting anisotropy in...
