The thermal instability of the Rivlin-Ericksen fluid according to Darcy model and Brinkman model in porous medium with the Coriolis force (rotation) in the case of rigid-rigid boundaries is considered, and the control parameter(Rayleigh number)is calculated and analyzed in theory. It's proved that critical values of Rayleigh number(R_c) are obtained when the eigenvalue equal to zero, that means, the stationary convection is present firstly in the systems after the fluid is instable. The oscillation is only possible if there exist pure imaginary eigenvalues and the Coriolis force is large enough.In the paper, the dimensionless equation is first considered, then the relation between the control parameter R and rotation parameter T is obtained by solving a related eigenvalue problem of ordinary differential equation.
