The study was focused on the physical character and trastion of flow past the circular cylinder in the past centry.there are no experiment has been found about the coherent structures of gas-solid flow past a square cylinder. In this paper , the study of gas-solid flow past a circular cylinder with PIV and The Streamline System is initiated. Two factors as particle diameter,gas Reynolds number are emphatically tested in order to characterized the particle dispersion in the instantaneous wake of a square cylinder wake. It is yielded some creative achievements with important theoretical significance and engineering application value.First a comprehensive experimental system is established to obtain the instantaneous flow field images of flow past the square cylinder. Visual images and correlative data are of captured under the typical operating conditions, which reveals the variability of the flow past the square cylinder. With the experiment study in different combination operating conditions(d_p=25±10μ m, d_p=60±10μ m, d_p=100± 10μ m; Ratio of mass flow rate;Re=1576, Re=3603),we get lots of visual images and valuable data.lt is revealed that the factor of particle diameter parmarily demonstrates it dispersion:the smaller particle ,the great dispersion.howeve ,its tendency decreases with particle diameter decrease. Besides,Reynolds number is another important factor effect on particle dispersion and the conclusion is demonstrated as below :the higher reylonds number the more even of particle distribution.In the second part ,the gas-solid flow around square cylindes is tested. As the same conditions like the one circular cylinder, the experiment about the gas-solid flow around two and three square cylinders of equal diameter D arranged in a side-by-side, five circular cylindes arranged in staggered way (the first row arranged three cylinders in a side-by-side,.the second row arranged tow cylinders in a side-by-side) had been done.we also get a lot ofvisual imagesand valuable data.it revealed some thesis about the gas-solid flow aroundcircular cylindes.
