Digitizing Wind And Sea Wave Fields With Meteorological Facsimile Map

The rapid development of military technology requires digital meteorological forecasting to satisfy the actual need in military practice and equipments preserving. Present war will be the war of information in advanced technology. Systematic meteorological forecasting in time and effectively is essential for military requirement. Numerical prediction in hydrology and meteorology will be a trend and main way in technical development to provide the naval need.Meteorological facsimile maps are commonly used in the realizing the weather variation. It can be not used directly to numerical calculation and further usage. In this paper, an effective method of graphical technique is presented to digitize meteorological facsimile map. Numerical wind field is given by this technique, and inputted into a Wen-model for calculating sea surface waves. The given hourly digital fields of air pressure, wind and sea surface waves from this technique can be provided for naval military requirement.The digitizing technique for meteorological facsimile map will be helpful for directors in their military practice. It can be provide hydrological and meteorological information themselves on vessels.The study in this paper will be helpful for the further usage of meteorological facsimile maps and for the information requirement of naval navigation. It will also helpful for making commands of naval military action and armament preservation.
