Theoretical mechanics is an important technic and basic class in high engineeringcourse college,which provide basic knowledge for a series of the continuous coursesand play an important role of training high diathesis engineering and technicpersonnel.Exercise is an important teaching tache in theoretical mechanics'course.Oweing to particularity of theoretical mechanics, exercise plays an importantrole of establishing conception accurately and training scientific analysis means.At thesame time,due to solution diversity of theoretical mechanics,at the present time,revisingexercise of theoretical mechanics brings enormous pressure of work. Exercise tache hasbecoming a urgently issue in the teaching innovate of theoretical mechanics.With theprogress of computer technique,we introduce Computer Assisted Instruction intoexercise tache and exploit a training CAI courseware of theoretical mechanics,whichcan not only lighten intensity of revising work of teacher,but also help students masterthe methods of solution.Theoretical mechanics course train student normative thoughtway to deal withmechanics 'modeling problem in realistic project,and attach importance to solutiontraining of "object","strive","balance equation"and "solution",and these elementdetermine that The system of theoretical mechanics'exercise depend on graphics andoperation of graphics.In order to suit the characteristics of theoretical mechanics,a newapplied mean of graphical description and graphical operation must be constructed. Anew method of theoretical mechanics'exercise is brought forward, which is based onthe object of graphical cell, and make use of technique of graphical cell and objectoriented idea,the graphics of theoretical mechanics can be decomposed into operableobject of graphical cell,and the operation of graphical cell is the solution of theoreticalmechanics'exercise.The system adopt client/server framework,teacher and student accomplish teachingcourse via each client software;Making using of SQL Server 2000 as database,sustainclient/server modle well; Making using of Visual C# as software tool,combiningADO.NET database accessing mechanism,and assort to SQL Server 2000.In the network environment, a very convenient and free environment of solutionhas presented for the user.Orginizing exercise with the technique of graphical cell,usercan adopt different means in the base of judgement and operate all graphical cells.strive,balance equation and solution are completed through controlling of graphicalcells.The system will track each operation and judge correctness through balanceequation and result,and provide corresponding cue and score.Making using ofmouse,the solution can be completed in network, simulates manual solution in thenetwork environment.The system can not only help students master the methods ofsolution, but also be used in training and examination, and lighten intensity of teacher'swork.
