The Map Expression And Achievement Based On 1:10000 Fundamental Geographic Information Database

In order to satisfy both cartography and spatial analysis, the paper has innovated the technology of map production: based on the fundamental geographic information database to design and express map. In the paper, the development and application of geographic information database is explored in theory. Then, the achievement process of map expression that based on fundamental geographic information database is discussed. On ArcGIS, taking the vector map of Liaoning province with a scale of 1:10000 as example, the author designs a Geodatabase in detail. It also applies the method of designing Geodatabase based on coding standards. Users can manage the geographic entities more agile and flexile. Also, the technology of cartographic symbolization is researched and discussed by the numbers in the paper. The author adopts the object-oriented thought to design the map symbol library to solve the problem in map production.
