By analyzing the lithology, physical property and the logging response characteristics ofthe tuffaceous sands reservoir in Xing'anling Group of Hailar Basin, this text identified thetuffaceous sands with both crossplot and probability statistical analysis, and establisheddiscriminating standards. Based on volume model for the tuffaceous sands, educed the contentof shaly and tuffaceous parts with the optimization methods for logging interpretation, in theprocess of which the calculative method was changed, so that iterative speed was accelerated;Compared with the slice analysis, the result calculated had the similar value and trend. Avoidingthe effect of shaly, tuffaceous and oil, this text established the interpretation equation of thetuffaceous sands effective porosity.Based on the electric models for shaly sands and tuffaceous sands, this text derived modelsof saturation bored with water for the tuffaceous sands: Tuffaceous sand S-B Model andEffective Medium HB Model;The first supposed that the parts of shaly sands and thetuffaceous part were electric parallelly, and the other considered the electric rock matrix as sandmatrix, tuffaceous matrix and shaly matrix were parallel, and ignored the difference betweenwater bounded with shaly sand and water in the formation. By studying the methods tocalculate all parameters in the models, the effective methods are proposed. We interpreted logdata of several wells with both models and compared water saturation calculated from bothmodels with production test results. The result established that both models were fit to thetuffaceous sands reservoir. Compared with each other, when the content of the tuffaceousmaterial was less, the second Model was better.With threshold gates of the porosity and shaly content, the equation for permeability wasestablished, the correlative coefficient was 75% between the result calculated and measured.Based on the resistivity model for rock, this text derived the equation of saturation for waterbounded using the rock porosity.
