Qinghai-Tibet plateau has been considered the most important strategy replacearea for China petrol. But the formidable natural conditions limits the study onit ,because of puna ,anoxia and unconveninet traffic. It has the important reality andstrategy significance to develop the information extraction technology of remotesensing for those of conditions.Based on analyzing in detail the progress of oil and gas remote sensing in home andabroad recently, selecting along the Qinghai-Tibet railway as the field, retrieving fixedquantity the apparent thermal inertia information using MODIS data and extractingthe oil surface indication information such as carbonate,gypsum,clayization usingASTER data successfully, associating to the field investigation analysis, author givesthe following conclusions:1) Retrieving fixed quantity the apparent thermal inertia information usingMODIS data along the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, it provides the thermal information forthe oil and gas resources appraisal;Based on the field investigation and the resultanalysis of soil acidolytical hydrocarbon , author thinks that the Qiangtang basin hasthe most possibility of oil beneficiation.2) After analysing the main characteristic of ASTER sensor and compared withthose of other sensors , author thinks ,besides the more high special resolution,ASTER has the more high spectral resolution in the 2.0-2.5 μm;Although Hyperionand so on has better effect on identify minerals directly than ASTER, their price isvery expensive and their sizes are smaller. So ASTER will be the main data resourcesin the recent future for the oil and gas remote sensing.3) Based on the USGS standard laboratory spectral analysis of calcite,gypsum,kaolinite, author thinks ASTER can not only extract the information of alteration rock,but also identify the minerals.4) Author extracts three oil surface identification information in South of theQiangtang basin successfully, such as calcite,gypsum,kaolinite ,using MNF,PPI,N-dimensional visualization,SAM. And the results are accord with field investigation.5) Author generalizes and builds up preliminary the identification sign of oil and gasresources by remote sensing technology along the Qinghai-Tibet railway, andgeneralizes the identification capability of the diversity sensors for the oil and gasresources identification signs.
