The geometrical model of high resolution satellite image is foundation to image processing. In this thesis the systematic research of geometrical model has been carried out on the Satellite Orbit Attitude Model, the Rational Function Model, and the Differential Polynomial Model. At the same time corresponding algorithms are designed and a software to produce orthoimage has been developed for PC on the basis of these studies. At last massive orthorectification experiments have been done with these three models and the results have been analyzed. The main contributes of this paper include: 1. Through the imaging process modeling, a Satellite Orbit Attitude Model is deduced and the corresponding algorithm is designed. 2. Some researches of the Rational Function Model have been done, especially to the computation and the orientation of this model. 3. A Differential Polynomial Model is established for the high resolution satellite image orthorectifition, which is testified to be able to effectively correct the projection difference because of the relief. 4. All the algorithms in this paper are implemented and the orthorectification software is developed for PC usage environment.
