Design Of GPS Receiver Based On ARM

Satellite navigation/positioning system is widely used in every walk of life. Client parts of GPS system mainly consist of types of GPS receivers.The microprocessor in the receiver directly decides the whole performance of the receiver.This thesis introduces the design of an ARM-based GPS receiver.The process of developing firmware for this receiver is also mentioned. For the GPS receiver, the GP2015 is a small format Front-end and the GP4020 with an ARM7 microprocessor is a complete digital baseband processor.The thesis introduces the implementation of uClinux to ARM7, arithmetic of digital baseband signal and the design of code tracking loop, and carrier tracking loop are discussed.This thesis describes the features of GPS and then discusses the design principle of GPS receiver. Compared to others, ARM has some special features, such as low-power, high-performance.The thesis introduces this and then describes the design and implementation of an ARM-based GPS receiver.
