According to the actual condition in the studied area, reservoir features are studied by virtue of many techniques. It is established that 3-D geological model of reservoir, which is evaluated and optimized the oil field from different point of view. Undoubtedly, it is one of feasible methods for solving the current technological problems as well as of great significance for making reasonable exploitation project and improving economical efficiency in the oil field. In the thesis, it has been discussed detailedly about the main research methods, instrument and its application limits in the reservoir geological modeling. Meanwhile, according to the actual condition in the studied area, it is put forward that the whole research thoughts and flowchart of modeling, and then apply this to a typical example. Taken the chang-3 and chang-81 Reservoir in Zhenbei area, Ordos basin as a good case in this paper. Firstly, the core sample is analyzed in order to summarize reservoir features roundly and systematically by virtue of some analysis and testing techniques such as the casting thin section, the scanning electronic microscope and x-ray diffraction, etc. Secondly, through comprehensive investigation, the study is mainly focused on many aspects of reservoir modeling such as method, principle, steps and effect test. Finally, it is established that 3-D geological model of reservoir in the study area on the basis of three principles such as time constrained modeling, modeling controlled by facies with the help of modeling software to combine definite modeling with stochastic modeling. Consequently, it is evaluated and optimized from different point of view. The optimized model reflects the geological feature of reservoir and open out the rule of remaining oil distribution. These provided technological backups for making reasonable exploitation project. The conclusions obtained in this thesis can be summarized as follows: (1) The reservoir structure in the studying area is simple , being chiefly the gentle west-dip monocline with a low tectonic intensity, there are only mini structures in the studying area. And yet the positive mini structures is likely to be the regions of the remaining oil enrichment. (2) Chang-3 reservoir sand bodies distribute widely, whose spatial superposition relation is mainly multiple-side or multi-layered. And in three dimensions the sand bodies' connectivity is good. The reservoir frame is characterized by Jigsaw puzzle and Layer cake. In contrast, the size of chang-8| reservoir sand bodies is small, whose continuity in three dimensions is bad. The spatial superposition relation of sand bodies is mainly single-side or isolated. The reservoir frame is characterized by Labyrinthand Stuffing pie. (3) The attribute model reveals that in plane the remaining oil mostly distribute in some regions like fades' side edge, positive mini structures, sand body pinching section and so on. In vertical direction, the remaining oil is mostly abundant in dominant layers. Therefore it is suggested that well pattern optimization should be arranged in the studied area.
