The generalized nonlinear Schrodinger equation with distributed dispersion, nonlinearity, and gain or loss describing the behavior of picosecond pulse is considered. By employing the transformations of variables and functions, the exact bright soliton solution on a continuous-wave background is obtained in quadratures, and is discussed in detail. From the behavior of the exact solution in exponential control fiber system, the conclusion can be obtained that soliton in a proper fiber system can be compressed or broadened. Especially, the pulse trains generated by modulation instability, the form of the exact solution as the case of ω = ω_s, 4A~2 > A_s~2, are investigated and the like-raised pulse trains are extracted from the generic pulse trains. Then the characteristics of the like-raised pulse trains are discussed in detail, in particular, the compression and propagation of the like-raised pulse trains are studied. A large numbers of numerical simulations show the like-raised pulse trains can propagate undistorted along fibers with distributed parameters when the energy of each pulse in the like-raised pulse trains exceeds the threshold value. When choosing a suitable chirp, the attraction between the pulses enhances that the bit rate will increase in fiber link.
