A New Multigrid Method Via Wavelet

A new multigrid algorithm(BWMG) based on the biorthogonal wavelet MRA is proposed in this paper .Comparing with the classical multigrid ,the BWMG algorithm has two advantages: one is the coarsening of grid space is automatic, the other is the interpolation and restriction operators are highly efficient when the residual is enough smooth. These advantages make the BWMG algorithm more convenience and practical. It adopts self-adaptive technique in the algorithm. Some numerical experiments are given.
