Synthetic Evaluation Of Regional Urbanization Level Based On GIS

Urbanizational development level is the synthetic index that reflect national or regional economic and societal development level and material and cultural living standard. This paper based on the survey of relevant urbanization theories, combine of modern GIS technology and metrological geography method, describe and appraise the situation of urbanization of Kashgar region, moreover evaluate the status of urbanizational harmonious developmental level.Above all, probe into the theoretics foundation about urbanization, such as the conception of city, urbanization, urbanization level and urbanization coordinated development. Then take Kashgar region as a demonstration to evaluate the urbanizational level. Adopt the comprehensive and quantitative appraisal method, construct a set of urbanizational level evaluate indexes system with stronger effectiveness, adopt main composition analytic approach and expert— hiberarchy analytic approach combines the technological method of entropy respectively, utilize modern GIS technic, to investigate the rational and qualitative comprehensive research about urbanizational level of Kashgar region.Then, investigate harmonious degree about urbanizational level system of Kashgar region. On the basis that the conclusion of expert—hiberarchy analytic approach, set up the degree model of harmonious development to five subsystems of population, economy, society and life quality, science and educational and cultural and hygiene, resource and environment. To study the harmonious development degree among every subsystem of the urbanization level in Kashgar region.Lastly, aim at the actual conditions of Kashgar region, bring forward the suggestion and measure to improve the comprehensive urbanization level at the present stage, thus offer the optional development countermeasure and measure of regulation.
