In 1980s, Professor M.Gratzel's research group invented Nano-crystalline Photovoltaic Cells (NPC cells) , which was inspired by photosynthesis of plant. This great invention is described as "artificial leaf with photosynthesis of plant, and undoubtedly creats a new way to solve the energy sources problem.The titanium dioxide nano-crystalline film plays an important role in the NPC solar cell, so during these years, researchers tried many methods to improve its properties and get higher photovoltaic conversion efficiency. But during our research work, the PbTiO3 film is sensitized nearly in all the visible light area, which may has better photovoltaic properties than TiO2 film has. So during this research work, we studyed on TiO2 nano-crystalline film, PbTiO3 nano-crystalline film and PbTiO3 film doped by Li+, La3+ and Sr2+, using XRD, DSC-TG, TEM, UV-Vis etc. analysis instruments to measure them.The titanium dioxide nano-crystalline film was prepared by the sol-gel method and magnetocontrolled sputtering method separately, X-ray diffraction result shows that anatase TiO2 film can both be prepared by this two methods, UV-Vis absorbance limit is all around 380 nm. The result of photovoltaic properties shows that the open-circuit voltage of the titanium dioxide nano-crystalline film is about 440 mV, the fill factor is about 0.36. While the film made by magnetocontrolled sputtering is thicker than that made by sol-gel, the short-circuit current and photovoltaic conversion efficiency of the former is higher than the latter.The tetragonal structure lead titanate film was prepared by the sol-gel method under the temperature of 500℃. The UV-Vis result shows that PbTiO3 film is sensitized nearly in all the visible light area, and an absorbance peak exists around 735 nm. The result of photovoltaic properties shows that the open-circuit voltage can reach 566 mV, the fill factor can reach 0.497, which are both higher than the properties of the TiO2 film.
