As we known, estimating the signal/noise of ratio of seismic record is an important problem in seismic exploration , but it is also hard and is not resolved well at present, and related research and referring material are little in the world. To find more oil and gas in deeper stratum in our country ,it has became a question ,which need resolved , stand in the breach. In this paper, this problem is further discussed, and some new progresses are made. With regard to the SNR problem , the existing methods only can resolve some seismic record if the level relativity of signal is strong ,but if the level relativity is bad, different problems are discovered . We design some various theories models such as level event , slope event and reflect hyperbola event etc. and contrast them by using existing methods and find respective application range finally. We take a correlation time-shift method which considers the phase-shift of signal to estimate the signal-to-noise ratio and it has better result comparing with other existing methods .This paper concentrates mainly on the following points:Have collected existing methods, we make use of theories models and get their deficiency and bring forward modification idea.We take a correlation time-shift method and test it's application effect by using theories models and analyze new concomitant question.Using real seismic record form southwest China, we test correlation time-shift method and get some significative conclusions. This can interpret some denoise phenomena. The new method is applied to both artificial and real seismic data, and is proved to be effective in many instance. At last we put forward succedent research task.
