In order to keep the social economy to develop sustainablly, it is very important that the water environment quality is analyzed, evaluated and predicted rationally, and it is therefore planned, harnessed and managed efficiently. To conduct the water environment analysis and prediction, an important basic work is to analyze and predict the hyrodynamic behaviors and water pollution situations of the water body based on hyrodynamics and water quality models. The objective of this work is to study the hydrodynamic behavior and pollution situation in river using hyrodynamics and water quality models, and to visualize the modeling results and display them in a clear and direct way to serve the planning and management for environmental department.This paper employs the finite difference method to discrete the hydrodynamics and water quality governing equations for numerical simulation, and obtains the results of hydrodynamics and concentration fields in succession. The Delft3D is introduced in the pro-and after-process and numerical computation in this paper for finite difference model of Jialing River. By comparing with measured data, the computed results accord with the reality approximately, the computing accuracy is good enough.Further more, this research on the visualization of the hydrodynamics and water quality results based on MATLAB mapping conduct and give the technology in this powerful tool. It introduced an easy way to visualize the computation results in simulation the hydrodynamics and water quality.At last, this paper makes an environmental planning for Jialing River by the way of multi-objectives method based on the results of the simulation. This planning pays more attention on the visualization in simulation as its base. The results show that the main situation of the river pollution is the industries'discharge along the riversides. Especially, the polluted zone along the river sides directly effects the ecological environment. With the Three Gorge Projection was done, the flux of Jialing River will decrease and the diffusion and convection could reduce as follows. It results in the deterioration along the river sides and making the strong effect to Shapingba, Yubei and Yuzhong districts which are all in the flourishing area in Chongqing. It is suggested that increasing investment in environmental planning and pollution treatment to guarantee the normal functions of the river is essential.Because of the long-term development and diversification of environmental fluid...
