With the great volume of Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) data being released, it becomes possible for many people to study how galaxies and large scale structure of the universe were formed, what the amount, composition and distribution of matter in clusters and large scale structures are, how the cluster mass density related to the matter density does in the universe and what constraints the cluster and supercluster data place on cosmology. Many theories are proposed for the formation and evolution of galaxies or clusters in recent years. Rich clusters of galaxies are the most massive virialized systems known. Although they contain only a small fraction of all galaxies, rich clusters provide a powerful tool for the study of galaxy formation, dark matter, large-scale structure and cosmology. Numerous attempts have been made to investigate clusters of galaxies in last decades. Abell 2199 is just a typical rich cluster of galaxies. This thesis mainly concentrates on morphology, structure and dynamics of the nearby rich cluster of galaxies Abell 2199.Due to the X-ray observation of Abell 2199, detailed studies have been made by many astronomers in small structure of cluster core and large structure of infall region. Based on the recent SDSS observations of the galaxies in Abell 2199, the morphology, structure and dynamics of this cluster are analyzed. From the spatial distribution and localized velocity variation, three substructures are found by using κ-test technique. The merging picture of these substructures suggests that cluster Abell 2199 is far from the status of dynamical equilibrium, which supports the hierarchical clustering model.Subsequently, the photometric redshift technique is applied on the member galaxies with r'< 18.0 and 18.0
