Piezocomposites have been widely applied in adaptive structures, due to their excellent mechanical and electrical properties. In this dissertation, the homogenzition method is applied to predict the effective properties of piezocomposite and analyze microstructural effect on the effective properties.The main contents are as follows:(1) Homogenization method to predict the effective properties of composite is reviewed, As a numerical example, a micromechanical model of left ventricular myocardium was constructed based on the micromechanical theory of composite. The effective properties of the myocardium are predicted by two-scale expansion method.(2) Two-scale expansion method has been extended to the electromechanical coupling problem, The FE program is coded and the effective properties of piezoelectric materials with defects are predicted. The influence of the content and shape of the defects on the effective properties is analyzed.(3) The effective properties of 1-3 piezocomposite are analyzed, and the effective properties of piezocomposite are caculated for different matrix and inclusion.In the present dissertation, two-scale expansion method is applied to analyze the effective properties of piezocomposite. The influence of microscopic parameters on the effective properties of piezocomposite is studied. The results show that two-scale expansion method can be effectively applied in predicting the effective properties of piezocomposites.
