Aureobacidium pullulans is a kind of fungi which have affinity withyeast it can produce exocellular polysaccharide, enzyme,bacteriophage ,protein and other producers.These substance have veryabroad purpose, especially the exocellular polysaccharide (sugarpullulans) it produces,is avirulent and have no side-effect to people.Thereby it is used abroadly in medicine -produced ,foodstuff-packing ,water-disposed in environment project ,etc.Aureobacidium pullulans is a multifunctional biological products whichhave extremely exploiture value. The research of Aureobacidiumpullulans in foreign countries is popular and have various products,but in our country is not so prevalentMicroorganism flocculants are various kinds of polysaccharides,proteins(peptides) and nucleic acids produced by microorganism.Furthermore, some flocculants contain mineral ions such as Ca2+, Mg2+,Al3+ and so on. These flocculation mainly come from distill substances ofmicroorganism cell wall, microorganism metabolize productions anddirectly microorganism cell. Microorganism flocculants get greatattention for their high-efficient,cheap,safe and other excellences.The high pressure has been applied to may aspect of biology. Thereseatch usually focus at the effect of macromolecular struture andfuntion at high pressure. But these is little report that about principle ofhigh pressure induced variation. By now, these is no study aboutdirected microbe variation at high pressure.Though dealing with high pressure , we obtain a mutation ofAureobacidium pullulans which have higher flocculating activity.Comparing with normal strain , the mutational strain which namedpb3201 improves ten percent on flocculating activity. Throughobserving stability of flocculating activity and index of physical andchemical activity, and detecting gene with rapd , issr , DNAmethylation ,by which we have found mutation of DNA , these canprovide theory and practical datum to study the mutation of gene at highpressure.
