Originated from human's space activities, space debris have threatened the safety of spacecrafts. The space environment which surrounds the earth is being polluted increasingly with more and more space debris. In order to carry out the space debris research it is necessary to develop observations of space debris. The observational accuracy of the space debris will affect their orbit determination accuracy, so it is especially vital for us to determinate the observational accuracy of the space debris. The SBG telescope at Yunnan Observatory has already had the observational ability of the space debris, and abundant observational data have been obtained. This paper introduces the internal fitting accuracy and external fitting accuracy separately with the observational data, and determines the observational accuracy using of the two methods. The observational accuracy of the space debris is 2" approximately in high orbit, and is 7" approximately in low orbit. In this paper, some preliminary analyses of factors caused observational errors are given. It discusses the effect of the error on telescope static pointing, and the effects of the telescope servo error and exposure time of CCD and some other errors, and introduces methods to reduce the errors and their effects.
