Purification, Some Properties And Modification Of Groups Of Ceruloplasmin From Serum Of Pigs

Ceruloplasmin (EC 1.16.3.1,CP),synthesized in the liver, is the major copper carrier in the plasma, binding over 95% of circulating copper, and has ferroxidase and oxidase activities as well as antioxidant capacities. CP was proposed to be involved in the acute phase of inflammation response , in angiogenesis ,and in copper homeostasis. CP was also reported to influence the activity of K_ channels in cultured neuroblastoma cells and prolong the effective refractory period of isolated hearts. Recent studies revealed CP involved in many diseases,such as Wilson's disease, neurodegenerative diseases, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and so on.At present,a number of researchs had focused on the relations between ceruloplasmin and diseases.Pigs, a important meat resource,contribute lots to human.The research on plasma ceruloplasmin from pigs meant much.On the one hand,it was a supplement for blank of national ceruloplasmin research and supplied threotic basis for further research.And the other hand, the value of the plasma of pigs would be realized.Otherwise,ceruloplsmin may be a potential useful medicine which could improve resistant and promote growth of organism.
