Usually multipath is regarded as an error source because of different delays and amplitudes, but it can provide some valuable information sometimes. Nowadays there are a few studies about using multipath in the domestic and international. In latest ten years, the technology of GPS multipath reflected signals is developed rapidly. On LEO it can be used to receive GPS multipath reflect signals from sea or land. By analyzing C/A code or P code correlation function, the global oceanic state, the height of ocean wave and the oil humidity can be got. And it can provide services to weather forecast and navigation safe. The technique adopts passive detection, and its character is economical, timely and information abundance. It is important supplement and development of traditional satellite altimetry. The height measured by satellite navigation is altitude not real height. Real height measure still needs other navigational equipment (such as radar altimeter). In this paper a new way to measure real height is put forward, by using the multipath components. To be propitious to the measurement results,a new basis for selecting satellites is proposed. The results of simulation prove the validity of the way.In order to prove Algorithm farther, the IF signal is sampled from RF front end, and is processed by software. The software has the functions of acquisition and correlation to IF signal.
