This article takes new theory and the new method of the modern sedimentology, the reservoir geology and the sequence stratigraphy as the instruction in Yingmaili area in Triassic. This is the first research which carried on this area as the whole dissection, and develops the rigorous research in the stratigraphic correlation, the depositional environment, the mode of deposition, the characteristic and the distribution of sedimentary facies. Through nearly 10 wells cores, the borehole log, the well logging in this area and material analysis in the vicinity, we can distinguish and elaborate several kinds of main sedimentary facies types in Yingmaili area in Triassic, such as alluvial fan facies, fan delta facies, lacustrine facies and normal delta facies. Through the sedimentary facies analysis of the comparison in different areas and distinct phase belt of the typical wells , and combine with the characteristic of structural evolution in Triassic in Basin, clarify the vertical and horizontal development, topological and evolutional rules of Triassic sedimentary facies in Yingmaili area, have expounded the plane-topology rule of sedimentary facies in the different period and the planimetric distribution of the advantageous reservoir sandstone, and forecasts to the advantageous accumulation area belt, also indicates the advantageous accumulation area belt and exploration direction.
