In terms of biomineralization, aragonite can be divided into biogenic aragonite and non-biogenic aragonite. Thoroughly studying on aragonite can provide insight into the research and fabrication of the advanced composite bio-materials and have positive influences on the development of biomineralization. In this paper, large numbers of biogenic aragonites are analyzed by FTIR. And on the basis of these results, the Tapes Literatus (bivalvia) shell of the biogenic aragonite is studied emphatically as compared with non-biogenic aragonites such as synthetic aragonite and grotto aragonite. It is used fully by FTIR to study the synthetic aragonite and grotto aragonite and the inner and the outer and ligament aragonites of Tapes Literatus. Moreover, v3,v1,v2,v4 of CO32- are discovered through grinding and heating under different time. Finally, the frequency shift between non-biogenic aragonite and biogenic aragonite and among the inner aragonite and outer aragonite and ligament aragonite of the same shell is discussed preliminarily according to the previous works and the results of this paper.
