Background:The rate of chromosome number abnormity is about 3﹪in population, but in spontaneous abortion, it is roughly 30﹪. Most of chromosome number abnormity embryos show cell division restrained, even cause embryo to die. The attachment between the spindles and kinetochores provides essential functions for accurate chromosome segregation. With the traction of spindles, chromosomes gradually move to the poles of cells and distribute evenly to daughter cells. But by now, the molecular basis for chromosome number abnormity is unknown. It was reported that chromosome number abnormity may be due, at least in part, to mutations in the adenomatosis polyposis coli(APC) in a couple of papers. APC as a tumor inhibiting factor has been well investigated in oncology. But these investigations mostly focused on WNT signal pathway and found APC can negatively regulateβ-catenin, which is a important component of the WNT signal pathway. However, besides of negatively regulate in the WNT signal pathway, APC can also regulate microtubule assembling, stability...
