The contents of this dissertation are divided into two parts.In part one, Finite Cell Method (FCM) is used in simulating mass transport process in porous media with various porosity. Previous FCM is only applied in homogeneous porous media ,that is,only to the situation of the same porosity.Therefore FCM is restrictive in application. In the paper,FCM was amended and used in simulating contamination traveling in porous media with various porosity.Few numerical examples are gived in the paper. Through comparing with the results of FCM and FEM(finite element method),it is showed that FCM can simulate mass transport process in porous media with different porosity.In part two, FCM are applied in identifying parameters of mass transport in porous media. In this paper,the longitudinal dispersivity in the area is identified by FCM. Using the trial and error method in the course, the satisfied results are getted.
