1,3-propanediol was the important raw material of PTT, and now the methods to produce 1,3-PD were all chemistry. Recently, how to use glucose,glycerol or other regenerative resource to prodece1,3-propanediol have becomed very important in the world. Some companies overseas have researched it for several years and have had many patents. The researchs were emphasized on the strains of Klebsiella pnuemoniae,Clostridium butyricum and Citrobacter freundii.Now, although the study of 1,3-PD in China got some progress, there were many limitations.According to the literatures, some strains of LAB can grow on glycerol by cofermenting it with glucose, and finally produce 1,3-PD. So, to isolate some LAB and find strains which can produce 1,3-PD was our purpose. And there were two genes involved in ferment 1,3-PD from glycerol: dhaB and dhaT. In our research, we hope to clone the dhaT. Our results were:1,In this research, seven Lactic acid bacteria were isolated from the yoghourt which was sampled from Hongyuan. Finally, the characteristic and biochemical analysis of these LAB showed that the seven LAB were belonged to Lactobacillus; Lactococus and Streptococcus.2,The enzyme activity of 1,3-PDO was found in one of the LAB isolated through the enzyme assays, and the activity was further approved by electrophoresis.
