In present thesis, 81 species in 6 genera of the single recorded subfamily Polycentropodinae from China of the tricopteran family Polycentropodidae are listed and checked, their distribution characteristic is discussed as well. Among them, 64 species including 30 new to science and 7 new records to China are described and figured. Specially, the biogeography of two genera Cernotina Ross (new record to China) and Polyplcetropus Ulmer are discussed too, their distribution show a circle-Pacific pattern. In addition, 3 new species groups in the genus Polyplcetropus Ulmer and I in Plectrocnemia Stephen are recognized and suggested, the phylogeny between 5 apecies groups of the former genus is reconstructed in particular. Further, keys to all genera as well as species in the family of China are provided. All specimens in this study including types are deposited in the Insect Collection of Nanjing Agricultural University, China, except one Cernotina sinensis sp. nov. male in Clemson University Arthropod Collection, South Carolina, USA.Polycentropodinae Ulmer, 1903...
