| Through absolutely quantitative investigation and relatively quantitative investigation combined with the quadrats, the population ecology and habitats of breeding and migrating cranes before and after wetland water complement were comparably studied. The investigation data revealed the general regulatory that crane population and their habitats response to the hydrological condition. These data will provide a valuable reference for the water complement aimed at rare and threatened waterfowl protection. It was revealed that due to exceeding drought before complementing water, multiple habitat quality indexes of the wetland had gone to deteriorate;Predatory utilizing mode owing to lack of water had leaded to accelerated exhaustion of resources; desolate fire had spread discretionarily because of lack of water; mankind and natural enemies had come into core wetland and intensified disturbance to water bird habitat.Biologic carrying capacity of the wetland increased, breeding quantity of the central protected species augmented, scope of home range of Red crowned-crane presented the tend of extending around; Death of the young Red crowned-crane decreased distinctly; After the wetland desolate fire in 2002, the reproduction of Red crowned-crane individuals of slightly more than one fourth had failed; breeding success rate of Red crowned-crane after complementing water exceeded that before complementing water; the different quantity of complementing water in different year supplemented each other, on the other hand, feedback of wildlife to environment change owns character of time lag-on the basis of these factors, quantity of breeding Red crowned-crane have increased constantly; the wetland after complementing water could hold more breeding cranes, which revealed that habitat quality indexes of the wetland tended to improve. It has brought this result that the factors of comeback of water resources and anthropogenic disturbance operated together: the habitat of Siberian white crane correspondingly recovered and the quantity of migrating Siberian white crane increased evidently, but which have not reached recorded peak value, which was the result that two opposite factors--improvement of water environment and aggrandizement of anthropogenic disturbance--operated together; the changing tend of Siberian white crane resting sites was that since 1999, the resting sites of Siberian white crane have diffused from central region to south and north of the natural reserve. The habitat after being renewed water could satisfy the breeding requirement of most Red crowned-cranes and White-naped cranes: on the basis of these results of habitat estimate, the habitat condition of the territories of 60 percent of Red-crowned cranes (3/5) and 71.43... |
