Honeycomb sandwich structures have been widely used in the fields of astronautics and aerospace. Frequency shifts often take place in the vibration tests of satellites, tests show that the frequency drift comes from the nonlinearity of the honeycomb sandwich structures. In this paper it is discussed that the influence of in-plane force on honeycomb wallboard and discussed the nonlinear vibration of honeycomb sandwich shells. The main contents are as follows:1) In overview of the latest worldwide research results, three equivalent models of honeycomb sandwich structures are given out. Advantage and disadvantage of three models are discussed.2) Discussed the influence of in-plane force on honeycomb wallboard, and the Gibson's formula is corrected.3) Discussed the nonlinear vibration caused by the nonlinear parameter of the cellular.
