The Query System Of Quaternary Geology And Human Culture In Zhoukoudian

Zhoukoudian is located in a mountainous area in Fangshan district of Beijing. It is boundless North China plain in southeastern area and mountainous country in northwestern area .World Heritance Committee hold the 11th meeting on Dec, 11,1987, Peking Man Site at Zhoukoudian that belonged to not only china but also whole world was formally approved as World Heritance Detailed List. It was human common cultural heritance and of worldwide significance. At present it is more abundant and more systemic than contemporary, which play an important role in Paleoanthropology and Quaternary Geology. It is one of human civilization origins and the best place where Quaternary cave grew, also it is the most typical model region that China researched the geology construct, which is the important practice base where China develop geology talented person, which is one of the Pleistocene Man Site where it has the most abundant ,the most well-found material and the highest research value, which is scientific information and resources treasure-house on the mankind evolution and culture development.There are abundant materials at Zhoukoudian, but they are very dispersed and inconvenient to query, Quaternary Geology and Human Culture Information Query System at Zhoukoudian is based on classification, processing and arrangement of materials . It includes several aspects, such as strata sections query, mammal fossils query, ancient climate and ancient environment query, ancient culture query, ancient mankind's fossils query, articles query and so on. Systemic data is placed mainly in Access Database. Visual basic 6.0 is used as platform to program system interfaces, which join with Database through one Adodc component of ActiveX. That is, it is joined with Access Database through Microsoft Active Data Objects in order to realize information query ,which largely providing convenience to query information material for customer.
