In this paper, the process of building geological model was introduced. For reservoir's features of poor geophysical properties, thin thickness, high anisotropism and developing cracks in the Soutu Oil Field, the accurate 3D geological model of Gao-I and Gao-IV is built, synthetically depending on high-resolution sequence stratigraphy, sedimentology, petroleum geology, reservoir geology and reservoir engineering etc. , by means of stochastic modeling with the software of PETREL modeling. So it is truly to reflect the geological conditions of the underground, for establishing base of effectively developing the oil field reasonable.The results of research and main view:Combining traditional method of strata correlating for using cyclothem thickness correlation with high-resolution sequence stratigraphy, the Gao-I and Gao-IV's oil layers are divided into 8 members further. The strata framework between wells is established and accomplished. Overcoming the limit in the correlation of thickness control, interfaces traversing time, the detailed correlation is more reasonable.Combining the facies of core with the well log facies, the reservoir is divided into six microfacies: underwater distributary channel sands facies, distributary channel bay thin-layer facies, silt facies and corcagh. Among these microfacies, the sands of underwater distributary channel are the main reservoir bodies. From the microfacies'evolution features and the characteristics of microfacies in each period, the channels are distributed in the direction of NE-SW with high successiveness. Among these channels, sands in the Layer GI2, Layer GIV11, and GIV12 are developing, and the sands form a sheet with thick thickness, are the main reservoirs.Utilization many kinds of the heterogeneity appraisal parameters,has carried on the quota description to the goal layer's non-homogeneous degree,which from microcosmic to macroscopic,description plane distribution of sand body, stability of interbed structure of pore throat.The results show that anisotropism is strong,and it is not favorable for water flooding effect.Applying the methods of the core analysing, rose chart of well deviation, and region analysis etc, the system of rifts in Soutu Oil Field is predicted with the software of rift predicting. Comparing the result with actual rift test of the site, all predicting direction of rifts are consistent. It is thought of that the predominant direction is of NNW in this region, and secondly of NNE, WE and NE direction.Set up the 3D geological model of Suotu oilfield by using PETREL, reveal the3-D distribution character of there search area structure,sand body,Porocity, Permeability, and Oil saturation, and become the base of dynamic digital modeling in the future.
