The present paper , referring to modern sedimentology, structural geology, reservoir geology and the petroleum geology, deeply discussed the type of sedimentary face and depositional distribution of the forth member of Shahejie Formation Shang 25 fault block in Huimin Sag with the methods of core observation, slice analysis, granularity analysis conductivity analysis and complex mapping , systemically analyzed the reservoir feature and the influence factors, and finally forecasted out the advantageous areas which were rich in the oil and/or gas.Firstly, on the basis of macroscopic and microscopic characteristic description of massive core samples, ,the paper analyzed the sedimentary symbol of research field through analyzing petrology characteristic, granularity feature, sedimentary structure characteristic, logging character and sedimentary face sequence character , which provided powerful basis for recognition and division of the sedimentary facies.Secondly, through the analysis of the sedimentary face symbol, single well face and section plane contrast, we have summarized that research area have developed three sedimentary face types ,shallow near shore lake, storm sedimentary and shallow lake mire. According to the principles for charting of sedimentary face, we have plotted out each sand strata member's micro-plane distributing map in the Huimin Sag Shang 25 fault blocks.On the basis of the core sample analysis, we have deeply analyzed reservoir characteristic through analyzing rock sample slice, casting body slice, information of the mercury press curve analysis, x-ray diffraction data and oil testing, including reservoir petrology characteristic, the type of diagenesis, porosity type, hole structure, and so on. .We also systemically analyzed the influence factors of the reservoir nature, and pointed out the sedimentary face belt and the diagenesis were the primary factors which affected reservoir nature. Appraisal of the reservoir pointed out the storage nature of sha-4 member down three sand strata (4, 5, 6) were better than that of Shasi up 1 sand stratum.Finally, analyzing the depositional micro-plane distributing map, the sandstone isopach map, porosity distribution tendency chart and tectonic isoline map, we forecasted 4 advantageous areas of sand groups which were rich in oil and/or gas in the researching area, which providing powerful basis for oil and gas exploration.
