To investigate the acidity of precipitation and the distribution of chemiccompositions concentrations of precipitation in Industrial Estate Located In NorthBank of the Yangtze River, Nanjing. We established the sampling sites on thecampus of Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology in theJiangbei Industry Area. From the September, 2005 to the august, 2006, we collectedthe precipitation samples and measured the chemic compositions and the acidity ofprecipitation, including pH, EC and ions such as F-, Cl-, NO2-, NO3-, SO42-, Na+,K+, Mg2+, Ca2+, NH4+; heavy metals such as Cu,Zn,Al,Cr,Cd,Hg,V,Ni,As,Mn,Pb,Fe; and organic composition of PAHs. We analyzed the temporalvariation of the precipitation's acidity in the Industrial Estate Located In North Bankof the Yangtze River, Nanjing, and studied its constitutents, density lever, temporalvariation, pollution feature and sources, the Conclusions as follows:1) From September of 2005 to August of 2006 in Industrial Estate Located InNorth Bank of the Yangtze River, Nanjing, there are we collected fifty-nine samplesof precipitation, including there are twenty-nine samples which pH less than 5.6. Thefrequency of acid rain is 49.2 percent and there are obvious seasonal variety of acidrain, incorporating that in the summer and autumn the frequency of acid rain isstronger than winter and springtime. The pH of precipitation is from 4.17 to 8.34.2) The bases of precipitation in Industrial Estate Located In North Bank of theYangtze River Nanjing are SO42-,NO3- and NH4+, Ca2+. There are being seasonalvariety of ions in precipitation. It is obvious that in this industrial estate thecontamination is sulfate oxides and d nitrogen oxides.3) Based on the National standard of Earth's surface water in precipitationsamples in Industrial Estate Located In North Bank of the Yangtze River Nanjing,the heavy metals such as the concentrations of Pb,Cd,Cr,Cu,Hg of some samplesare overstep the standard of surface water of China and heavy metals density ofprecipitation also exist seasonal variety. The heavy metals in atmosphereprecipitation is a factor of pollution of surface water.4) The meteorologic factors which influences the acidity of precipitation inIndustrial Estate Located In North Bank of the Yangtze River, Nanjing include windvelocity, direction of wind and rainfall, relative humidity and air pressure. The acid rain frequency enlarges but goes up with the wind velocity; Breeze and southeast ofthe east north by east are easily partial to east breeze to appear acid rain.5) The acidity of precipitation with single ion relativity not obvious, should bevarious ion is comprehensive to influence; But electric conductivity rate then withtotal ion density just related; some ions have distinct correlations, such as SO42- withNH4+, F- with SO42- and NO3-, Cl- with Na+, As with Al, V, Ni.6) There are large, especially the large business enterprise swarm about inIndustrial Estate Located In North Bank of the Yangtze River, Nanjing, such asYangzi petrifaction, Nanjing steel, Nanjing chemical plant and hot power stationetc. the air pollution allows of no to neglect, that sample orders nearby be close toan in the last years building activity multifarious, result in a great deal of dust andground dusts, in the ground get to atmosphere in, also be placed in transportationmain route rather in addition six highway neighborhood, a great deal of car tail spiritexhausts atmosphere to also result in to the environment serious pollution.
