Distributing optical fiber sensor ,which uses the combination of fiber's charator of one dimension and sensitivity and the OTDR technique,can measue and distributing of physical quatity along the fiber.And because of the high sensitivity of examination using intervene,a new type of an interferometric system for distributed optical fibre sensing is brought out.This type of sensor usually bases on back scattering,so the study of he qualities of stimulate Brillouin scattering's(SBS) spectra and correlation in single-mode fibers are very important.So the qualities of SBS are studied in this paper.In this paper,we get hold of the analytic expression of the SBS's frequency distribution,baseson the analysis of theory,and the autocorrelation function of SBS is got and simulated numerically.Then the experiment research is done,and the basic character of SBS is proved,and the autocorrelation function is measured.The result accords with the theory,so the correctness of the theory is proved.Beacause the problems of range and signal detecting of this sensor,we also study the attenuation of SBS along the fiber.
