Non-homogeneouscharacteristics lie in all factors which affect the urban evolution due to variousattributes among land cells in terms of suitability, time, transportation, planning and so on.In order to explore interactions among land cells on micro level, thispaper conducted extended research on simulating urban land use evolvementbased on GeoFeature -CA (GFCA-Urban). After a brief introduction ofGeoFeature -CA model, much improvement has been made based on theoriesof ecological mechanism and GFCA—Urban. It proceeds as follows. First, theories of the Monte Carlo method as well as conceptions of "the life of theland cell" and "mutation of land cell state" are briefly introduced. Thenattributes of traffic are obtained by appropriate method. Urban ecological sightand self-organizing mechanism and man-made control which affect the urbanevolvement are all taken into account so as to expand the core thought ofGeoFeature-CA model, followed by the implement and software applicationassisted by GIS technology and GIS platform. Lastly, we use Shenzhen as acase study and simulate land use evolvement of 2000-2010.Result of demonstration show that simulating and predicating urban landuse evolvement using GFCA-Urban model is of great practical importance. Ithelps to understand rules and characteristics of urban land use evolvement andserve as guidance in urban planning. Demonstration and predication provide apossibility of urban development in inside the Special Economic Zone ofShenzhen thought not exactly precisely. Although some progress has beenmade in GFCA-Urban model due to the extended research, it should be notedthat research on GFCA-Urban model is still at tentative stage. Improvementsin precision and authenticity of GFCA-Urban mode have yet to be addressedand should be direction of further research. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Cellular automata, GFCA-Urban model, ArcEngine, ShenZhen, Urban land use evolvement | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
