| Photorefractive polymers have attracted great interest since the first report of photorefractive property in a polymer composite in 1991. Since then, a number of polymeric materials which exhibit the photorefractive effect have been prepared and characterized. These materials have many advantages over inorganic photorefractive crystals in applications of high-volume information storage and data processing because of their large optical nonlinearities, low dielectric constants, low cost, and ease fabrication.Azo benzene polymer, one kind of nonlinear chromophores, was commonly used in photorefractive materials. In this paper, two azobene polymers had been made by diazotization-coupling. The compounds were analyzed and characterized by Infrared spectrum and Ultraviolet spectrum and Raman spectrum test method. The result indicated azo in our compound. Azo absorbing band appeared 1404.3 cm-1, 1433.3 cm-1.Then, we prepared film sample mixing polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), (4-Nitrophenyl) - [3- [N-(2-Hydroxyethyl)carbazoyl]]-diazene, dibutyl phthalate and C60, and found out the best technics in preparing film sample. Asymmetric tow-beam coupling (2BC) is a diagnostic tool commonly used to verify the existence of photorefractive property in newly developed thin film materials. To verify the photorefractive property of our materials, we have prepared and designed the optic experiment of 2BC .Then we tested the film sample and found out the photorefractive property of our materials. |
