Ultraviolet image detection system is designed for solar blind signal (240~280nm) observation and measuremen. In current ultraviolet images detectionsystem, UV-Spectrum and background images are isolated by the spectroscope. Bothimages are fused by DSP. Undoubtedly, this design will decrease the spectrumresolution and increase the cost of the instrument.In this paper, a light path switch system has been designed to simplify the lightsystem of the Single Channel Double Spectrum Instrumentation. This design hasapplied the high performance DSP TMS320DM642 (master broad) of the TIcorporation. This design also has applied SCM 8051 (slave broad) driving step motorto switch light path. Both broads use UART communications.In addition, single channel ultraviolet-visible double spectrum examination wasrealized. This design can increase the spectrum resolution and decrease the cost of theinstrument. The hardware and software solutions of the system have been concluded.
